Emacs 24.5 released

In what is  a bug fix release, Emacs 24.5 is out.

The third (and hopefully last) release candidate for the 24.5 release
of Emacs is out.

The 2nd release candidate of Emacs 24.5 is now available.

The second Emacs pretest is now available for testing at the usual places.

Emacs Tip: ESC ESC ESC is the same as C-g

If you want to abort some action and were used to ESC on Windows, the  only difference in Emacs apparently, is to hammer away at the ESC key to mimic C-g.  It might be a good idea to do a C-h k ESC ESC ESC to check the chords description.

Update your package search url as melpa.milkbox.net is now melpa.org

It's been a couple of days but the url has changed to melpa.org. You may need to change your .emacs file  from ("melpa" . "http://melpa.milkbox.net/packages/") to ("melpa" . "http://melpa.org/packages/")
