EmacsConf 2015 (Announcement)

This should be interesting in that there's enough buzz for a Emacs conference.  And they're looking for speakers. This is in San Franscisco, CA.

Emacs 24.5 released

In what is  a bug fix release, Emacs 24.5 is out.

Emacs 24.5 third release candidate out

The third (and hopefully last) release candidate for the 24.5 release
of Emacs is out.

Emacs 24.5 second release candidate

The 2nd release candidate of Emacs 24.5 is now available.

Emacs 24.5 first release candidate is out

The first release candidate of 24.5 is out for testing.

Second Emacs pretest 24.4.90 available

The second Emacs pretest is now available for testing at the usual places.

Emacs 24.5 Pretest released

The first pretest for what will be the 24.5 release of Emacs is available.

Emacs Tip: ESC ESC ESC is the same as C-g

If you want to abort some action and were used to ESC on Windows, the  only difference in Emacs apparently, is to hammer away at the ESC key to mimic C-g.  It might be a good idea to do a C-h k ESC ESC ESC to check the chords description.
