Emacs Tip: ESC ESC ESC is the same as C-g
If you want to abort some action and were used to ESC on Windows, the only difference in Emacs apparently, is to hammer away at the ESC key to mimic C-g. It might be a good idea to do a C-h kESC ESC ESC to check the chords description.
